I'm looking for at least a case if not 1,500-2,000 rounds. I really want to get some more of the Uly MILSPEC stuff. Anyone know a place that stocks it for a decent price? Cheaper than ordering from AIM? They have the stuff I'm looking for for $59/700 rounds, plus shipping. I thinkit's about $20 for shipping per case. I don't have a problem ordering fro AIM, but am wondering if there's a local place I'm overlooking.

Dixie firearms in Braselton stocks wolf for 89.99 a case usually, and Silver bear "match" for 119.99 a case.

I'm up in Gainesville, and frequently drive towards the ATL area, so a 60 mile drive for a couple cases is no big deal.

My thing with Wolk isn't about reliability, but more due to the issues with Wold .223 being too hard to fragment properly. Does it have good terminal properties in 7.62? Do the HP's come apart or expand right?

Maybe I need to edumacate myself about 7.62x39. The only I've shot since the days of Chinese steel core is Silver Bear and the Uly from AIM.

So what's GOOD about Wolf?

Wolf seems to be the easiest to find.  Barnul soft points alot of people say are good, for just shooting Wolf works for me ok.

Check the next gunshow. I get ammo from The Sportsman's Guide too. I got a 1,000 rounds of subsonic 9mm delivered in 2 - .30 cal cans from GA ARMS for $12.00 shipping, they were at the NATC show too.

I would also recommend GAarms.  I only shoot their .223  I have shot their 308 too.  And the plus is you get a free ammo can!!!
