I've been wondering that myself. If it actually goes in I will be less than a mile away.
ETA Hmm... some of the local campaign literature has made some obscure reference to the Gander Mountain store going in. I don't know exactly what it was but someone running for office was blaming the incumbent for the Gander Mountain sitting stagnate. Can't tell ya anything else, sorry. |

I think that project was abandoned. I bid it about 8 months ago and no one seems to have heard anything since.

I think Gander Mountain is pretty strapped. I also recall reading recently that they are planning to restart their mail order business. I still have shirts I bought through the mail from Gander, and always preferred their stuff over Cabela's, so I wasn't too happy when they stopped. I went to their store a few times in Rochester, Mn, mostly to kill time, so I don't have much opinion about their retail stores.

 That store is in the toliet they might be closing some of their other stores due to the economy. Tough for big box stores. OK tuff for everybody!
