So I was reading the latest post about GCO and it got me to thinking, I even feel the need to carry my gun at school! Is nothing sacred anymore? The only place that I would think one would feel comfortable NOT carrying would be a church, and even then I am somewhat doubtful.

We have establsihed that our own homes, schools, eateries, places of business, the streets of our towns, even courthouses are not safe anymore.

Let me ask you guys this, is there anywhere you go that you feel 100% protected and not need to carry a protective device.

I will add that I felt safe aboard Camp Lejune when I was stationed there, and really any other Marine corps base, I was on....But since those days are no more, I guess I just have to deal with it.

MARTA train between West End and 5 Points at 11:30 at night.  Perfectly safe, and no need to carry.  I'll bet Dr. Whatshername, the MARTA CEO, makes that trip all the time w/o any escort.  

Other than that, I'm drawing a blank.

The only place I go that I truly fell saafe in every time I am there is Gwinnett County Detention Center(no I am not an inmate there nor have I ever been an inmate anywhere else.)  I might feel safe in other correctional facilities, I just dont go to any other ones.  I am there at least once a week and even in the parking lot late at night I have no fear of being acosted.  It doesn't hurt that I am bigger and taller than 98.6% percent of the population off the rest of the world though.

I want to carry in church.

Nothing is 100%, but if I feel a place is unsafe, I need to ask myself this question. What the hell am I doing here? If I have to ask that question of myself every where I go, then maybe my tinfoil is on a little tight.
