OK, I have 4 AR-15 pattern firearms and would like to know what spare parts do you guys keep or take with you to the range.
Also what tools? I have a stock wrench already. Does anyone sell a spare parts or range kit that you recommend? I have one colt 2 bushmaster and one Rock River lower wih DPMS upper. I learned the hard way about spares when a simple part broke on my HK and it took several weeks to get a new one and get the firearm up and running. Thanks FNGfromGA out.

I've been considering stocking all the different small parts for the lower/upper receivers since a lot of people seem to see a part here and there. As for tools I have the stock wrench, armorers wrench, action block, roll pin punches, and probably a few other tools that I'm forgetting |

On had, I currently have (spares):
a complete bolt + firing pin a standard USGI fire control group (hammer/trigger, springs & pins) a couple detent/detent springs a buffer retaining pin and a couple buffer springs.

Several extractors Several of each size roll pin Several cam pins Spare firing pin Several firing pin retainet pins At least one of each size spring in the rifle Complete buttstock assy including buffer tube Several grip screws Several extractor O-rings Hammer Disconnector Mag followers, baseplates, and springs Tools: Complete punch set Barrel vise jaws Barrel nut wrench |

I just take more than one gun to the range. Parts usually stay at the house. |

In my range bag I keep:
stock wrench complete bolt firing pin firing pin retaining pin extractor extractor spring hammer & spring trigger & spring disconnector & spring sight adjustment tool bore snake USGI cleaning rod chamber brush large cleaning patches CLP bore brush USGI "tooth" brush At home I also keep: another complete bolt firing pin firing pin retaining pin (x2) cam pin (x2) H buffer buffer spring receiver block barrel wrench roll pin punch set gas tubes gas tube roll pins Then, of course, I have a spare parts box with just about enough parts to build another rifle.
