I'm willing to setup group buys on just about anything, but what are people interested in?  EOTech sights?  Eagle Industries gear?  SureFire lights?  ESS goggles/glasses?  MagPul gear?  Black Hills ammo?  Hatch gloves/gear?

Let me know.

.308 ammo for sure if it can be had for less than what's at ammoman.com  I may even be tempted to splurge for some Black Hills.

Surefire that fits an AR (many configurations, we'd have to settle on one).

Bulk ammo for MG shoot.  Bulk discount, and you won't have to lug it all the way to Joseph.

Hmmm?  5.56, .308, 9mm?

If the price is right, I'd be interested in some Q3131A.

I'd also go for a pair of the ESS ICE glasses. I was thinking about getting some of those recently.

I'd be in for some .308 or .45 ACP or .223.  Figure it won't hurt to get the ammo cheap and get the rifles later.

Heck maybe even large quants of .22.

ETA: Surefire light sounds interesting too + batteries.

Careful - a C&R holder is allowed to purchase C&R rifles for their own personal collection ONLY.  It's not a license to do business in C&R rifles, nor is it supposed to be used to help other people purchase rifles.

We don't want to get someone here hammered for something like that.

youre right, i wasnt really thinking too far, its a collectors license, NOT dealer.  Thanks for reminding me.  However, we could probibly do it in ARFCOM LAND...

I just want a couple cheap shooters

Get back in your box...

Actually, what kind of bulk discount could we get on, say, 20K rounds of 5.56?  Have it delivered to Joseph in time for the shoot.  Attendees could bring back ammo for anyone who orders it but doesn't attend the shoot...

just a thought.

I'd really like to know this too, but not sure where to go to get a quote like that. I would have been in for prolly 10k but just commited to a can so that takes me down to 2-4k depending. Any suggestions on where to go for a quote?

If we're going to do a group purchase of ammo, do it through outdoormarksman!

They have competative prices, plus their warehouse is in Salem, NO SHIPPING!!

I wonder what a pallet of 223 would cost?

I'd have to second that - they've got a purchasing and distribution system already setup.  Ammo could then be transported from Salem to the shoot for people that aren't on the I-5 corridor.

No the estimate was for how much might need to be ordered.  I have no idea what price, or where it would come from.

Also, outdoor marksman's prices seemed decent, but not stellar...

Other than Federal American Eagle brand, all of outdoormarksman's .223 ammo stock combined is less than a pallet full.

Because of the ammo shortage and prices I was looking at .223 reloading dies today.  Maybe we need a group buy there.

Dallas Reloading has some good prices on .223. NORMALLY, its good stuff, but a recent review was not good. Worth looking into though, I've personally shot 2k rds of it with only a couple of problems.

Not always the best, true, but, there are a couple potential bonuses to using them:

They're a local major-player ammo distributor.
They're an ar15.com Industry Partner

If someone were to contact the folks there and work to arrange a big group-buy, maybe we can acheive stellar prices...

Obviously, this is said without knowing what kind of markups ammo has, but the whole idea of a group buy is to pool our resources to make one big purchase and acheive bulk pricing, right?

How many cases does a pallet hold?
Link Posted: 3/16/2006 3:27:47 PM EDT
[#37]
I could do a group buy on any of the Black Hills ammo.  They're not the cheapest, but they make quality stuff.  IF we did at least a 10k order, the "remanufactured" 55gr .223 would be around $200/1k, including shipping.  I don't have the 2006 price list, so I'm making an educated guess base on the old price list.

If people are interested in Black Hills ammo, I'll get an accurate price.  I'll check on pallet load price, too.

I'd get a quote on 250k and 100k.  Were the price right, I myself would be in for 10k and perhaps others would be too.
