I don't know if I'll go today for a few minutes before and after our luncheon get-together with others at Okoboji Bar and Grill at noon today or just go after church tomorrow.  Don't really need anything as the credit card is SCREAMING the way it is after all the machine gun parts kit/barrel purchases!

I heard second hand there were nice Radio Controled Cars that was the largest display in the show for Christmas.

I think DesMoines is going the way of other city's gun shows, promotors try for ever dollar, have too many shows, sales go down, dealers stop comming, the promotors fill the space with flea market, guy buyers stop comming because of lack of dealers and too much flea market, fewer gun buyers fewer dealers the gun shows die in the end.

A town the size of DesMoines should have two large gun shows a year, not 8.  

If you were a dealer and knew how many open tables/aisles that there are at this show then you would pick this show as the one not to attend as well.  Me, I go just because it's a diversion from everyday life and to be around other like-minded individuals...concerning firearms and not flea market stuff.

The promoter did try to stiff arm the dealers about three years ago and told them that if they didn't attend ALL their shows, including the new December show, that they'd lose their table placement for the other shows.  Jack Smith told him what he thought of them having a show that close to Christmas but attended that first show...when the show was over he went up to him and told him that he'd never do that show again.  There's no stiff arming Jack and so they've come up with the policy of being able to miss one show a year so I've heard.
