I have to vote absentee because of work, so I go to the county clerk, get my ballot, and stop by the Post Office on the way home. There is a Taylor Haynes flyer in my box.

I start reading his bullets, and he is a claims to be a Constiutional Conservative. I only disagree with him on a couple of issues, but seeing that no one is perfect, and I can't stand Matt Mead, I wrote him in. I have voted for candidates in the past, with who I disagreed with politically, just to keep a Democrat out of the seat. No More, I am sick of RINOs, and socialism crossing party lines. In my eyes, Matt Mead is nothing butt a RINO, which was confirmed when I argued with his local campaign organizer.

He may or may not be everything to everybody, but he is worth a look.

I plan to do the same thing. Mead has a history of being anti-gun.

I wish he campaigned more before I sent in my ballot. Getting into the race late hurt him.

Yeah, no doubt. I hadn't really heard much of or from him until I went to get my absentee ballot.

He only started to show up in Cody a few weeks ago but what he's done has really impressed me. Hopefully he'll get in some other office.

He didn't really want to run initially. By the time his conscience forced him into the race, it was too late to register for the primary, and the primary write-in campaign failed because (apparently) some folks wrote his name in but forgot to also fill in the oval. If you don't do both, they don't count the vote.

I started a thread about this weeks ago when I first heard him speak at a Wyoming Patriot Alliance meeting.

Got my fingers crossed. Mead was the palest bean of a bad crop to begin with (excluding Simpson who may or may not have been actually running some sort of half-assed campaign, and would have been the worst non-Democrat in the race), and while he'd be better than the Dem, it probably wouldn't have been noticeable on a daily basis.
