I'm trying to get an idea of value for this rifle.It has a 5-20 barrel date, doesn't appear to be rebuilt,bore is mirror,all the metal seems perfect.The stock probably is not original.It appears to be something that was maybe in an american legion post for 75 years or so and had the stock replaced but was never fired.It is not a low number rifle and at one point I looked up the serial number as far as production date and it was built within a few months of that barrel date.If you know approx. value or can't point me in a good direction I'd appreciate it.

When you say "bore is mirror", do you mean it's completely slick with no rifling?

@jeff, you suck @larry, no mirror as in it looks like it has never been fired,no wear,nothing just perfect rifling...

Market is fairly weak on 1903's.

I had a few on GB and they seem to move in the $4-600.00 range.

check out the proof marks on the different parts. Some 03s were rebuilt, much like the garands, with different manufacturer parts. How is the finish on it too? The market price is lower than normal because the CMP flooded it with a ton of rifles last year. Just be happy you got a good shooting piece of history. I got an A4 thats worth a good bit of money. Not bad seeing as to how my dad won it in a CMP(then DCM) lottery for $20 in the 60s.
