I ordered U.S. Navy Veteran plates with random numbers and they took 5 weeks to deliver. If you picked your initials, rate or something unique for the plate number, it will probably take twice as long.

Vanity specialized plates take quite some time. Factor that and the increased furlough days that the state workers are on and things can really be delayed.
