Hey Folks,
We are trying to get a small varmint hunting party together. We haven't set an official date/area yet, but if you are interested just post the words "IM IN" along with your first name and I'll add you to the list. Note: This outing is open to anyone interested, but please know that it will most likely be in Clark County. Thanks. ColS, I guess we'll start out spotlighting Jacks and see what other non-game/varmints show up. The date and time has not been confirmed yet. As far as where we are going Im not 100% sure. I was thinking the Searchlight area. Any suggestions? |
We don't have to cover ourselves in cowshit or anything to hide our scent right?
I'm in. Ray
Must be before th 6th of March though. ANIMUS..........you in? You can bring Tonto.......If he's allowed out to play. I am sure his wife want wrecked physically before he is allowed to step out of that bedroom. V OUT |
Twist my arm, I'm in if Joe isn't still mad at me. Kelly |
Cool. I'm not sure when I will be in town next so let me know when you guys settle on a date and I will see if I can make it. |
I'm not sure about cowshit, WP. But V always has something in his Friggin' gear bag to make the mission go better. |
Im in......Henry
excuse the silly question though...last time I went hunting I was lived in California..do you need a hunting license? |
I realized it was a silly question as soon as I posted it and edited that part out, but obviously not fast enough lol...

You gotta be quick on the key when Wolfie and me are on the board!
Hey Guys,
Will a weeknight work? If we choose Searchlight we can meet at say 1900/2000 hrs and then hit the road South from there. |
8pm is fine, I assume we will be carpooling a bit so as not to take 25 trucks out there. |
Someone can ride with me. |
I dont mind being a driver, I need to learn my way around, weekend is fine
I can take 4, I knew getting the Supercrew would come in handy someday... |
my main worknites are Thursday through Sat nights...thats when I make a majority of my money, any other nite is great..but Im willing to take a night off of work for this...
so no need for a hunting license to do this? I want to make sure I have everything I need. |
No license needed besides I always tell any police officer that is accusing me of breaking the law that Joe Nizzari said it was ok...I keep his card handy too and I've never had a ticket or been arrested yet. |
No license needed for Jackrabbits, Coyotes and any other non-game varmints. I will be using my: 12 Gauge Pump (w/game loads) 5.56 M4 (.55 gr. M193) .22 cal. Ruger MKII Semi-Auto Pistol (CCI Mini Mags) |
Hey Wolfie, Are you flashing those "Get out of Jail" cards I gave you again? Glad to see they are working.... |
sounds good to me, Chris
a weekend would really be better if possible, my day starts pretty early during the week. but if'n we can only do weeknight, then that's cool. |
If we choose Searchlight we can meet and park at Railroad Pass and leave vehicles there. |
you guys are sutch amateurs. ive yet to see whos bringing the beer, fire crackers, tracer ammo, golf clubs, t-ball bat, home made tomahawk, new danners for monkey stomping, night vision and lifted truck. what i listed above are mandatory for a succesfull and very fun spotlighting trip. other items that add to it but arnt really mandatory. flares, gas and matches, weed burner used as flamethrower and the good old fasion home made mace. tell you have all of that you guys are gonna look like rank amateurs.
Bullshit! We'll be eating coyote burgers for a month...or at least Ishoot2live will be. |
Ya commin' down for the hunt HBS? |
Dude! That would be like eatin' my dog!.... |
as mutch as i love to go spotlighting and shooting rabbits ( love it alot) i really have a hard time driving 7 hours to vegas to do it. when is this suppose to be going down? ill probably have to wait to go with you guys when we do the camping trip.
I don't know for sure Bro I'm with ya' on the long drive. It probably wouldn't be worth it for you. I'm hoping we can pull it together one night next week. I guess we'll have to wait for the outcome of the poll results. |
Why don't us Ding Dong-eatin' Northies get together and arrange our own Varmint Shootin' Ho-down?
Tonight's the night that we got the truck We're goin' downtown gonna shoot up Jacks Your turn to drive, I'll bring the beer It's the late, late shift no one to fear And ride, ride how we ride We ride, lowride It's roundup time where the good coyotes meet Gonna drag one screaming off the street And ride, ride how we ride Got a green uniform and a tac vest Playin' SWAT for real/playin' SWAT for pay. And so forth. Hey Beckett, my mom lives on the Silver Springs side of Lahontan, so I'm a bit familiar with the area, what say we somehow come up with a Lahontan area crittershoot sometime in the near future? |
Bro, For me personally, I would like to do it before 06March, because after that Variable won't be able to make it. I would rather (than not) have Variable on the outing with us. I did notice that the weather is supposed to be inclement here in Southern Nevada between 27February and 01March, so perhaps those days won't work anyway. We should really get on this and set a date. Let's go guys.... Joe |
hell, i'm up for this sat night. south, north, whatever.
actually, i have found a really nice spot up of 93 on the road to elko, kinda far but nice area. we don't have to go all the way to searchlight. what about off the goodsprings area, could cut a little time off the trip |
I would like to catch up depending on when this goes down. I don't have a truck so I would probably have to hitch a ride if someone would be willing to give a complete starnger a ride

Strangers are bad. You might find yourself in a hole rubbing lotion on your skin. |
Is this some strange Nevadan ritual? Maybe, I don’t want to go… |
it puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again! damnit ! get it right........... i just hope i am.
ya meansteve im down for shooting anytime. i know alot of areas out here but im always up for something new. ive shot a few coyotes on the backside of lahontan, never gone for bunnies. |

You Boyzzzz have fun on your little Northern trip now, ya' hear? |
