For those interested in receiving a non-resident Utah Permit currently good in AK, AL, AR, DE, GA, ID, IN, KY, LA, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, OH, PA, SD, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WY here is another opportunity.  The class will be held Sept. 9th in either Ely or West Liberty area.  It will start somewhere between 9 and 10 depending on location.  Location will be finalized in the next week or so and posted here.  There is a $50 charge for IowaCarry.org members and a $65 charge for non-members so slap you friends upside the head and get them to register with IC.org.  Posting a hello in the 'introduction' area is all it takes to show you are a member here.  The proceeds for the class go to IC.org to aid in efforts to regain your rights.

Class requirements:  Participants must bring some form of Proof of Character.  This can be a current permit to purchase or carry or a letter on law enforcement letter head stating you are of good character.  You'll need a handgun, something you intend to carry, holster, approximately 50 rounds of ammunition, ear and eye protection.  You should also visit the Utah BCI web site and review the rules and regulations regarding the permit: http://www.bci.utah.gov/CFP/CFPHome.html
You'll find the application on this site, please print and fill out upper portion prior to class.  You do not need to have finger printing or picture done prior to class.  You will have 6 months from date of class to submit application.   The cost of the permit is $35 plus $30.25 to FBI for fingerprint check for a total of $65.25.  

There is a 10 rnd qualification, 5 rnds at 7 yards and 5 rnds at 10 yards, 8 out of 10 rounds in "C" zone or better on IPSC target.  It is important that you know how to operate your firearm as you will be judged on safety and competency with its operation.  If further instruction is deemed necessary I will be happy to provide it at no cost but possibly at a later date.
