Here is the low down for those of you who are interested in having a US Flag flown
in a MQ-1 Predator in an actual combat mission over the skies of Iraq.
The flags cost $16.00 and are 3'x5' nylon with stitched stars and raised white stripes.
These Flags are the smaller version of the All Purpose Flag you see flown on Military installations.
You will also receive a certificate with the date and flight information. The certificates are in color and printed on high quality paper(81/2" x 11").
What I will need from you is  the name
or names you wish to have the certificate made out to and anything special that you would like to add.

You can send payment and information before 25 August to:
                                               Daniel Gurganious

Once I get to Iraq i will fly all of the Flags and print out certificates, once this is accomplished I will ship them to Wolfpack.
He will have a list of the people who bought flags and arrange a pick up.
For those of you who are not Las Vegas residents please insure that the
return address is correct. i am not going to charge for shipping but I do ask
that you send a small goodie package for the troops in my unit. It doesn't have
to be anything big. This will take a little time, shipping back to the US can take
between 2 to 3 weeks. Also please understand that "The Mission"comes first.
I will hold up my end and get them back to you as soon as possible.
Packages can be sent to:   (USPS)
                                             SrA Daniel Gurganious
                                             332 EAMXS
                                             46 AMU (Predator)
                                              Balad AB, Iraq
                                              APO AE 09315 9997

Below is a certificate:

of course the name and special message will look better then this.

Also availible are our squadron coins. These are $5.00. On one side is the 332 Red Dragons which is the wing we fall under and on the other side is the 46th AMU "we can keep it up longer" which is my unit.

Thank you all for your Support, with out people like you back home backing us this job would be 100x's harder then it is.
                                                         Dan

Check on the way.
How long until we send the care packages?
When will you be back(in Iraq) to receive them?

By chance did you know Chuck Olsen? He was a Predator pilot from here, but transfered to Colorado a year or so ago.  Our wives were good friends. Very nice people.

One more thing.... I have Some letters written by my wife's students, from last school year. They are "Dear American Hero, ..." letters by sixth graders from Mountain View Christian School.
Would you mind if we sent those with the care packages as well?

You can send them as soon as you'd like, I notified my coworker that they might see some packages with my name on them soon. I am leaving at the end of Aug begging of Sept. can't tell you the exact date. Letters from the kids would be great, I received some last year, most of them got a return letter as well. Some of the guys are to lazy to write back, but I will try to get as many back as possible. You might want to wait until mid Sept to send the letters that way I can ensure people don't just leave them lying around.
I don't recognize the name Olson, he might have been a pilot at Nellis with the POC-N(predator operations center- Nellis), I don't see those guys.
                      Thanks,
                          Dan

Well you asked my question, thanks, as to when to send.  Also I was at the post office and they have those white boxes...............now they will send them anywhere in the USA for $7.70, weight don't matter.  Also to Iraq  base if they is a APO number.

Unfortunately I couldn't make the last dinner, therefore I didn't have the opportunity to meet some of the new members (or see the ones that I have already met and know). Maybe I can make the next one.

I did however, have the opportunity to meet MQ-1_Spec and his close friend TJ on Sunday (TJ is a lurker and hopefully soon to be a member). I am here to say that those two are a couple of very squared-away individuals.

Thanks for the camaraderie and company MQ. I really enjoyed spending time with you guys.

Let's hook-up again soon.

Be Safe.

Joe

Dan, would you be able to fly a state flag from our unit?  Although I wouldn't want to curse the aircraft since it was signed by Kenny Guinn.

I will be shipping a care package off sometime this next week.  I will be elk hunting near Ely, so will take some time and run to town real quick and get it in the mail.

Wolfpack - When are you planning on doing this dinner?  If it is before the 28th, I may be able to make it down there, providing I get my elk in time.

Be sage out there!!

Oh yeah, What kind of magazines?  I was thinking Maxim or some form of hunting mag should be sufficient.
