So....Wednesday nights I always try to watch what my wife calls "The Larry Potterfield Show" on the Outdoor Channel.
I have become fascinated with the ARs these two soldiers are using.
I realize that they are probably built in the AMU's own custom shop,
but I still would like to know about barrel length, rate of twist, sights, scopes, handguards/float tubes, compensators etc.

Not that I intend to try to assemble anything like them, just curious.

Well whaddaya know, an AR15.com newsletter arrived in my inbox while I was typing this post, I am slow.

I don't want one for myself.
I have no delusions of ever shooting at a competitive level.

I still want to know a little about these rifles.

Those are "gamer" rifles.  To each his own.

Just as those race 1911s are gamer guns. Still not my cup of tea.

As the owner of a "race" hicap Limited Gun, eh, it's neat for what it is.  FAST!!!!    Would I take it into SHTF?  Nope, that's what Glocks are for.
It is not considered self defense to lob grenades but I do like the way you think...

I can think of much better platforms for the game or battle field than a plastic fantastic.

I did look there and it seems that most questions of this type can't be answered, um, team secrets I guess.

Good point. I would rather have a guy shooting at me that can hit a gnats ass in 30 seconds. Ill hit him all over with 10 shots in 3 seconds.
