These are two different occurrences in the Coastal Empire and Low Country.

Two Robbery Suspects Shot

"A shooting victim is in jail this afternoon, because police say he and an accomplice tried to rob someone and that person fought back. Michael Kearney, 19, of Beaufort is charged with second-degree burglary. Police say the man Kearney tried to rob woke up from a nap, came downstairs and shot the two suspects several times.

The accomplice, a 16-year-old from Burton, is in Beaufort Memorial Hospital. After he's treated, deputies will charge him for burglary as well."

Three People Shot Outside Savannah Club

"A failed robbery attempt sent three people to the hospital with gunshot wounds early Saturday. Two of them are now facing charges. It happened just before three a.m. outside Club Oz on Indian Street.

Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police say Lamar Jenkins was leaving the parking lot in his car when two men tried to rob him. He told police when one of the men pulled out a gun, he pulled out his own gun and started firing at them. Taleal Tilson and Willie Duggans were shot several times. A woman in another car that was hit by gunfire was shot in the leg. There's no word on her condition, although her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. Tilson and Duggans are facing charges. They're both in good condition at Memorial Health University.

Police are investigating."

Get Some! (and work on shot placement, guys!)

Glad to see people are fighting back, and the bad guys are getting to spend some time in the hospital.

Kinda wonder about the guy who shot Taleal and Willie. Anybody think he was carrying in a bar? I hate that we can't legally carry into bars and restaurants that serve alcohol. Sounds like the coppers are cutting him some slack, as they should.
