I'm getting a group together to shoot at the Old Sanoita silo on Saturday, October 8th at 9am and would like to extend the invitation to all of you as well. Only safe, legal shooters welcome. Thanks!!!

Here's a map to the location - if you need more directions, please let me know. Thanks!

fireputrouter, if it turns out to be 50 friendly and I am able to make it, you can put a couple down range.

Yes, the spot is car friendly, although 50 friendly? Might be a bit too small for that. The dry lake bed next to the range might be ok, but then you're almost down range - depending on which way people shoot. The lakebed is n/w of the silo area, but is 4x4 accessible only. I've seen people get cars back there, but I wouldn't take my Supra back there by any chance.

If you don't mind shooting a 50cal under 100 yards, you're fine --  but this isn't a huge range unfortunately.

We'd still love to have everyone who's safe and friendly out there though! You could always bring the 50 and see how you like the area.

Now that I think about it... if it's Tannerite friendly, it's gotta be 50 friendly, right??

please don't leave stuff out there, sheriff was there last time to tell me to clean up after myself, ranchers are getting their chaps in a bind again because they think they have more right to that land than we do.

Really? Az Game & Fish said the silo grounds themselves really didn't matter since it was federal land and not state trust land - ranchers can't use it and wouldn't want to anyways becuse the soil's already contaminated with rocket fuel.  Pumpkins are biodegradable, right? :)
