The wife and I will be visiting around Spencer and Hinton area of WV  next week.  Decided to check out WV property for our vacation this year. Then I started thinking (usually a bad thing ), why not bring our toys and do some shooting while we're there.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? The NRA website lists a couple of public ranges near there. I found  Savannah Lane Shooting Assn. in Maxwelton and Wadcutters in Summersville.

Anyone have any info on them or any other suggestions? We are keeping a fairly loose travel itinerary so we've got the entire week to basically wander around.

Thanks
Smitty

Edit: Fix spelling.  Duh

Head up past Richwood and walk through the Cranberry Glades.  Probably about 2 hours or so from Hinton.  Maybe not even that far.  About an hour and a half from Summersville.

LMK and I'll give more detailed directions.

Thanks for the info guys.

Looks like the Cow pasture trail is closed in the Glades, but the Monongahela forest area still looks pretty nice.

Don't know if we'll be able to get out to Sleepy Creek. Pretty far east and close to the end of our stay but If possible we'll be there.

I'm so ready for vacation. It can't get here soon enough.

Thanks again for the feedback.
