I'm looking for a shop to receive a transfer for me.  I have only lived here for 2 months and already hate the one gun shop (Spragues) I have found in town.  Dickheads there want $75.00 (up $25.00 last time I was there) for me to get a AR receiver shipped there, and if I wanted one of the receivers they carry I would have to wait 12 to 18 months (direct quote).

Anyway, anyone have a good FFL they use in Tucson or Phoenix?

Try Yuma Coin and Gun - it seems he doesn't have a set rate, it sort of depends on how he feels that day. He's hooked me up in the past a couple of times, and other times I've "passed".

I'd love to find someone in Tucson that isn't a pain.... I went to Marksman on prince for 2 receivers and they were $25 each... they were really nice about it and I would use and recommend them but I'd like to find someone that'll do it for less.

If anyone knows of a Tucson area FFL that will bring in some for less than $25 please share...

I had my Spikes lower shipped into Foothills guns.  He was really cool to deal with.

At spragues your just another dollar in the til..... the only customer service they care about is talking their shit up until you buy...  then they are done with you.

A guy over on the Arizona Shooting site is doing transfers for $1.00 in NW Phoenix.  I believe he goes by the screen name airkills over on that site. After January 5th the price goes back to $10.00.

I do a lot of reading here but this is my first post, andI thought I could help.  If your on the east side of Tucson, you should try

He runs a shop out of his garage.  He's dealing with some heath issues, so its best to call and set up an appointment.  You'll probably get his voice mail when you call, but leave a message and he'll call you back.  Transfers are $20.  He's a stocking Kimber and Sig dealer.  I always enjoy going to his shop, and he has treated me very well.  Hope this helps.

Sorry I haven't responded.  No computer of my own yet.  Great responses and nice to know there are some good ffl's out there.  I did find a guy in Yuma, he runs Battle Rifle Restoration and does transfers for $10.00 (for law enforcement). seems like a good guy.  Now I just wait for AIM to get more receivers in. Thanks everyone.
