Isn't that a handstop then? Nope, it's a sling mount and much smaller than it looks in the pic |

What's wrong with a stud and qd swivel like you put on mine? Much smaller and neater, plus definitely not a handstop.

I use a RSA and a poncho roll clip of the '58 webbing, easy one handed operation.
It's a case of whatever works for you, I don't see that as a hand stop. |

It's still a fucking handstop. Only needs to be as wide as a finger. |

Does that mean that these are allowed, they're pretty small too?
Or maybe we should ask Jabba-Jaw to hold them... |

You're just fucking jealous because you didn't invent it I'm actually thinking of giving it a really tacticool name as I can think of loads of tacticool applications where HSLD Operators could deploy with one. In fact I'm doing to deploy with one to the next match, but as nona y'all know how to use a sling, the concept will be lost on yas |

If you're going to do that, you will definitely need to offer it in FDE and perhaps a uber tactical quick release version with explosive bolts - and you'll need to think of a really cool name and motto to help with marketing to the shooting community.

I don't understand, by putting on a QR sling adapter you effectively put on a handstop as well. Unless it sits so far forward your arm cannot reach it? Actually that handstop-Verbot is silly or just a way of distancing CSR from Target rifle imho.

The CSR Rules Mafia have totally accurate empirical evidence that the use of a handstop of any kind will increase your scores by at least 15.76%, therefore based on this, and not on a whim or because they have small dick syndrome, they unanimously decided that Handstops are forbidden. There you have it a totally plausible explanation of the Rules Mafia approval process.

Been thinking about a QD type sling attachment for CSR for some time and came up with this little item tonight. I had an Anschutz ball type swivel but no way of attaching it to a picatinny rail. They normally attach to a handstop, and as we all know, they aren't permitted....and look naff. So......a piece of rail clamp from Hutch and some 1/2" square 7075T6 and the mill and voila http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz105/Mbradders/a401c7f2.jpg http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz105/Mbradders/cd220985.jpg Next will be to get a cross bolt of the correct length, drill and fit a spring loaded ball detent to stop it coming out and some Duracoat Good idea. You might be onto something. Been doing more sling shooting lately and have been looking for something that combines an Anschutz sling attachement with the picatinny rail. There really isn't much out there at all that meets that need. |
