Since I have to wait to get it, you all have to wait to see what it is.... Because I'm bad that way! |
Neither.
Nope. Hmmmm. Maybe if someone can guess EXACTLY what it is, I'll send them a "tactical something or other." DarkHelmet is disqualified, as are a few others, like FS-FNRL. Might be a pack of 5.56 magpuls, or a pack of followers, a tac sling, who knows. |
Son of bitch! You got it. WAIT!!! I said "exactly!" Almost there, just two more details.... |
M781 practice rounds and parachute rounds? |
Nope. Specifics about the LMT itself. |
Oh, you must mean the 9" barrel and the 12 ga adapter then..... |
Knocked one down. Still one more detail about the LMT to go though.... IM me your address, and I'll get your prize out. I'm just busting chops now.... Would you like: 1 - 3 pack of standard 5.56 magpuls in black? 1 - 3 pack of Magpul enhanced followers? 1 - 30 round AR mag with enhanced follower and magpul? Scott |
I searched through almost all of your posts for the last 3 months to come up with that |
GET BOTH! /b] |
RAIL MOUNT also.
I'm just waiting to move to start the paperwork, I dont want to end up moving half way through the paperwork. |
Congrats you guys!
[Joker] Where do they get those wonderful toys?[/Joker] |
And that is the final detail! |
You will be bringing this to the New Years day shoot, right?
Its friday, THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICTURES , now.
Yes, I'll have pics up as soon as I pick it up. That will be this afternoon. It is worse than waiting for Christmas.....
ohhh....and how long before you get the badass KAC M203 sight w/ the Dr. Optic?
You're just gonna keep pushing me so that I come out there. But man, 9AM? I don't get out of BED until 9AM on a normal day, and I'm probably going to be insanely hung over on New Year's Day (up until 1:30 AM at least!) Ugghh. To be at the pit at 9AM, I'd have to get up at 7AM to be out the door by 8AM to be at the pit at 9AM. Hell, I don't even know where the pit is! So I'd have to make to breakfast at 8AM, which means getting up at 6AM! NUCKING FUTS! I'll post the pic myself: We'll see, we'll see...... (Besides, I've only got about 25 M781 rounds, and they won't be free to shoot! They are like $10 a pop!) |
That one, which is crazy-expensive, or the Meprolight version, which is even MORE expensive than the KAC! Who'd a thunk it? Meprolight 203 sight for $810 KAC/DR Optic quad sight for $690 |
ohhhhh snazzy! Now there are choices. ohhhhhh.....and wayyyyy back in the day PV1 Cyclic240B was a 203 Grenadier. Watch the barrel latch or it will tear half the flesh off of your thumb when you slam it shut. |
Just remember, do NOT put your nose against the charging handle when firing that. Watched it happen once, wasn't pretty.
I hope it won't be as "exciting" as your 37mm bird bombs were..... |
Looking for HE rounds were ya? |
Are you going to shoot league with that giant hunk of metal slowing you down? |
Who did your lower receiver?...(Im just kidding, dont answr that)
How easy is it to get the practice rounds?..I would hate to even think about the cost for a single HE round. Still.. Very cool. |
Damn, morning wood round two |
Something has to give you slow-pokes a chance! I do plan to use it at league too. Maybe have my last target engaged with a shotgun slug or something..... |
You'r gunna shootcher eye out kid.... |

Practice rounds aren't too hard to come by. I've seen cases at the WAC show (Big Sky Surplus from Spokane) as well as online. The best price I've seen is $5 each for "seconds", but some would be mis-fires. Right now the best price I've seen is $6.95 each if you buy 100. Randy Shivak lists some sale at $189/25 plus shipping. So they wind up being between $7 and $10 a round, depending. I've found a 37/40mm forum with lots of good info. The site owner (Grog) has some great reloading CDs, so I need to get them so I can reload my own rounds. I even found a line launching projectile! I've also got leads on parachute illumination flares, smoke rounds, regular flares and some "less lethal" options (bean bags, rubber balls, etc.) As for HE rounds, good luck. As I understand WA state law, large bore DDs are OK, but exploding DDs (grenades and flashbangs) are not. Other states have no problems with exploding DDs, but finding a manufacturer willing to sell you one is the problem. The military pays about $17 per HEDP round, but for a civilian, it is likely to be $400 or more (including the $200 tax.) Each one would require the $200 tax and a form 4 too. If I could find some sale, I would probably buy one! I'd love to find some 40mm flashbangs too. But no matter what, your base cost is at least $200 per round.... |
I figure my quality time at Ft Sill was enough for my M203 fix. I wasted lots of rounds of all types. I know I have a couple empty Bando's around here for your rounds, I will find them and bring them Sunday when you let CavVet shoot it.
Leave it to the "Have a suppressor but not use it " State to fuck up a simple law. A DD is either a DD or not a DD. I wish gunchick would untie Phil for 5 minutes so we can get a legal op-ed on this.
Good idea! |
