Quality of the lowers was decent, no complaints that I know of.  Mine was good.
Customer Service sucks to put it nicely.  John lied on several occasions to us and for that there is no excuse.  Some of us opted for the option to have additional engraving (at additional cost), well Anvil forgot to engrave mine.  After all of the bullshit to get them here, there was no way I was sending it back to fix their error.

Everything on this end was on the up and up, everything on their end was an absolute goat rope.

Off my rant, my point is you can do as good or better and not have to dick around with Anvil.
Stripped lowers are becoming easier and easier to find now and the price is coming back into a reasonable range.

They did the transfers for free

originally greybear put things together and his Dad was going to do the transfers as the FFL.  Well his father passed away during the deal and two shops in town stepped up and offered to do the transfers for free (all of them)  One was Ammo Can the other was Northern Security.  To the best of my knowdelge there was never any extras and I have only seen one lower sold after the fact.

Perhaps we could make this an annual order.  I know several people in Fairbanks that would be in for one or more

Actually two or three times he said things were done and ready to ship when in fact that was not the case.  Call it a lie, call it a misunderstanding, it was piss poor customer service.
I am glad that you have had positive experiences with John.  My one and only experience was BAD.  Not to mention that I paid (extra) for something that I did not get.  Sure he said "send it back, we'll take care of it", but with his past history, there was no way in hell I was sending a lower back to him that would not come with a firm and reputable return date.
YMMV and again I am happy that  you have had good success with John.

No excused offered, no quarter expected. I will however simply say that at the time of the initial Alaska group by we were a MUCH smaller company in a MUCH smaller facility.

My personal experience with doing large group purchases such as the one we did for your group and another group almost simultaneously was next to none.

To put it mildly our ability to provide good service did in fact suck. Until that time we were essentially a custom builder making weapons one at a time custom built to each clients specific order. We did a LOT of learning during that time and unfortunately, service to both your group and the other group suffered due to my personal inexperience with dealing with such large orders.

We have gone to great efforts to insure that things are considerably different now. We now have systems dedicated to expediting large custom orders and have successfully done orders for several hundred units with no trouble at all. The last one was for 75 receivers, custom engraved with LPK installed. We got the order, built and lasered all the receivers and had them shipped out within a 5 day period. Needless to say, a significant improvement over what I was able to do with your order.

All I can do is apologize for the prior failure and say that I truly do understand the hard feelings from some (most, all?) of the people affected.

We do still have the original Alaska image on file and we have a sale for fathers day right now. This week shipping is guaranteed the same day if we receive the before noon eastern time. Normally it is within 1 to 48 hours.

In an effort to partially make up for the poor service before, anybody ordering a receiver and wanting the custom Alaska image will get it at no additional charge for duration of this sale.

And even though shipping to Alaska is considerably more than shipping to the lower 48, we will honor the free shipping on the sale price.

I know it is not much, but in reality, there is nothing we as a company can do to fix the hard feelings generated by the poor service and delivery delays of the passed. All I/we can do is press on and continue to do a much better job, which is exactly what we strive to do each and every day.
