Like every politician (especially one from NY), there's more to Rudy's platform than meets the casual eye...

In case you didn't click on the link, he's anti-gun and would sign an ammo, hi-cap and "assault weapons" ban faster than you can say nine-eleven.

Just like Ahnold.  GET TO DA CHOPPA!!!!

If it were Giuliani vs. Hitlery (or Obama) who would you vote for?

Some third party canidate that won't pull 5% of the vote?

Oh, hell no. I'm not sure I'd even vote in that election.

Guiliani did exactily one good thing (IMO) when he was Mayor of NYC...he got the police to ticket on quality-of-life offences. Spitting on the sidewalk, etc. Yeah, it actually did work, and it did clean things up a bit. He cleaned up Times Square, which was nice. ...that's about it. Rudy had just as many scandals, if not more than, most anyone else in office. Infidelity, divorce, etc. The only reason anyone remember anything positive about the guy is because of his actions post-9/11.

Would I mind him at the helm in the middle of a crisis, or after a crisis to get things back into order and quickly? No, not really.

Do I want him managing more than a 7-11 until that time? Hell no. That 7-11 would go broke in no time.

I'd actually vote for Hillary.  That may be exactly what the F'n Republican party needs to wake the F up!!!

I would write in a candidate if the selection was that poor.  I don't care if they only got my vote, the principle matters more than supporting even the LESSER of two evils.

I have a feeling that a third party candidate would pull a whole lot more than 5% if those were the choices.

I understand your position, but I question if it is more harmful than benificial. If the person you want in office least is put there because enough people made the same poor decision to vote for someone with no chance of winning you might as well cast your vote for the canidate you dislike the most.

If you vote for someone that is 100% aligned with your political and religious beliefs and that person has no real chance of winning that doesn't advance your cause one bit.

If you were to vote for someone that is the lesser of two evils and that person won, you could possibly change policy with a somewhat friendly ear in office.

If you were to vote for the canidate who doesn't stand a chance in hell of being elected to office and the more-er of two evils was to be elected into office, you don't have a friendly ear and you have no chance of affecting change.

I'm sure someone could come along and pick apart a sentence here and there, but I think you understand what I am trying to say.

Anti gun Republicans NEED to get their asses handed to them every single time if 2A rights are a priority to you.
With those choices I'd be voting Libertarian (if that is an option).

It's still early.  A solid pro gun Republican will be in the primaries.  I;m praying all the bickering and media attention between Obama and Hillary will sever the DNC party.  Unfortunatley the RNC seems to be heading the same way.  They definitely need to get thier act together.

My district ousted Dean Johnson the last election, unfortunatley the rest of Minnesota didn't agree.  I'm still holding on to the Outdoor News interview where Amy Klobuchar said she supports 2nd Amendmant rights.  I can't wait to call her a liar on the phone.

Get active in your party caucus.  It helps.  Even with all the public shootings that have occured since November 2006 it seems 2nd Amendmant issues have been put on the back burner to let issues like the war and "global warming" take the forefront.  Unfortunately if the national Congress stays the same and a Dem president gets in, then I'll start sweating bullets.  Until then I'll educate the uninformed and continue with the phone calls and letters to my Congressional delegation.    The RNC will turn around.  Give it until September and see what happens.  Let the DNC bicker and splinter their party even further.

I was working in Iowa the last couple days and they're already getting blasted with commercials by candidates.  (First primary state).  Tom Tancredo is running on a border security platform, and if the number of spots is any indication of his seriousness about this race, he will definitely be there at every turn.

Many other pallatable choices in the Republican primary as well.  Unfortunately they need someone electable if they want to have a shot at the presidency.  For this same reason I don't think Hitlery will make it past the primary, I think Guliani will.

My choices would include Newt and Fred, unfortunately Newt is unelectable, and I don't think Fred will run.

I knew long before today that I would never vote for Giuliani in any election, primary or general.  My choices are as follows:
Jim Gilmore
Tommy Franks

Does anyone know about Fred Thompson?  I just saw some news today that says that I need to know who he is...

Tommy seems like a good guy; good book. Don't know too much about him, but no way another Texan will get elected.  Don't know Jim.

Again, Draft Fred.
