Hey everyone. I am trying to get things rolling for another MN ARfcom shoot. Post your ideas!
Link Posted: 8/5/2004 7:53:22 AM EST
The weekend after the 3gun so we can shoot the steel?
Link Posted: 8/5/2004 8:40:18 AM EST
The only reasion I am voteing for princeton is because I want to shoot garbage for a change of pace.

Water jugs wood bowling pins general crap like that.

Any day any where I will be there.
Link Posted: 8/5/2004 9:06:50 AM EST
Putting holes in paper is getting a little old. It would be fun to shoot at water jugs or pins for a change. Im open to princeton or del tone Maybe Paulie would let us set up some pins or jugs out there if it was oked ahead of time. I know they used to shot pins out there in the past.

Ok we have input!

A sunday after the 3 gun at Del-Tone, and it would be nice if you got to shoot "trash".. I'm all for it!

Keep it comming!
Link Posted: 8/5/2004 6:28:15 PM EST
I'd be up for it. Shooting stuff besides paper is always good, used to be fun when my buddy worked at the grocery store in town, we got to blow up all the old produce What's the sunday after Deltone? the 22nd?
Link Posted: 8/5/2004 6:33:08 PM EST
The weekend after 3-gun is open for us. The only thing on the calander is a family reunion at the trap range. Hey Quin, When you get a minute why don't you give me a call and we can set up the dirty details.
As for garbage, how about a "Fruit Shoot". Two weekends after 3-gun is the MN USPSA Sectionals and I still want to keep the range junk free. After that we could have a fruit shoot before the hunting season kicks in. Melons at 200 yards, potatos at 50 yards are pretty cool. We even have a special rack for those. Plus the mess after wards makes great critter bait.
Paulie

A fruit shoot sounds fun I know a small watermelon at 200 yards disappears when hit by a 40gr V-max. Another thing that is fun is to shoot eggs at 100 yds.
Link Posted: 8/6/2004 5:38:45 AM EST
I'd probably be up for a junk shoot in Princeton!

How do we get into the range? Is anyone a member?
Link Posted: 8/7/2004 12:17:35 PM EST
Hey guys, some great input here. So right now it looks like Sunday the 22nd at Del-Tone or Princeton.
Shooting at junk sounds cool, but I am also looking forward to shooting at Del-Tone again and checking out the improvements. I will try to contact you soon Paulie.
The only setback for me is I may have to be out of town that weekend. Hopefully I can make it, but even if I can't, it sounds like things will come together for you guys. I'll check back when I know more.

(After lurking for a few weeks, I'll speak up and say "Hi"

I just bought a DPMS 24" .308. As I'm new to rifle target shooting I'd love the chance to meet other AR owners and maybe learn something. I'll def show up.

That 308 is SWEET! I had a chance to shoot Paulie's... Good work.

Welcome SG, The 308 dpms is a great rifle. I wouldnt get rid of mine for nothing. Once you get a plastic mag that works in your gun they are very accurate.

PRINCETON

Good idea. Tell me when and I'll be there.
Link Posted: 8/9/2004 6:50:50 PM EST
The date and either place sound good to me. I have a new TA31 on a 20" I need to sight in!
Link Posted: 8/10/2004 6:13:37 AM EST
Somebody else may want to take the reins on this shoot since I will be out of town that weekend. It sounds like Sunday Aug 22nd at Del-Tone. If you are going be sure to contact Paulie at Del-Tone and let him know.
My weekends are kinda full until into September at which time we can put together the fruit shoot at Del-Tone. There is also the Princeton MG shoot in Sept. I have been renting a spot there for arfcommers to share if that interests anyone (semi-autos welcome).
Link Posted: 8/15/2004 2:04:24 PM EST
What's the status of this? Is anyone going to show up?
Link Posted: 8/16/2004 5:51:06 AM EST
I wouldn't mind either date at either range, trying to see if any of my non arfcom friends are interested.
Link Posted: 8/16/2004 8:45:05 PM EST
Ill be out there on sunday. I can talk to paulie this week if there is interest. Shellghost I will be doing some work with my LR308 on sunday with different types of ammo getting ready for a precision rifle class your welcome to join in the fun.

Sound off if interested for deltone on sunday the 22nd.
Link Posted: 8/17/2004 8:33:03 AM EST
I will come up propably on sun what time will you be there.
Link Posted: 8/17/2004 10:34:36 AM EST
Ill be up there by noon at the latest unless we get enoughf people together for a arfcom shoot then Ill be there earlier. I hope DPMS gets my toy fixed before then so I can get some more trigger time before the 3 gun the next weekend.

Death451 Can I barrow that A1 stock for the 3 gun?
Link Posted: 8/17/2004 12:47:40 PM EST
If my wife lets me go, I will be there.
Link Posted: 8/17/2004 1:25:48 PM EST
Unfortunatly I will be in Indianapolis this comming weekend. I'll simply have to catch the next one.
Link Posted: 8/17/2004 2:42:17 PM EST
Will be there with 308 in tow.
Link Posted: 8/17/2004 4:35:19 PM EST
You can borrow my A1 stock until you get a Sully stock.
Link Posted: 8/17/2004 6:27:32 PM EST
Hey everyone. Sorry I have not had time to check this in a while. 3 Gun was a great sucess and that has taken up all of my time lately.
SUnday the 22nd would be aperfec t time to come up. We only have a family reunion that weekend at the food shack so the ranges will be open. I have some new cool steel that we can put out for long distance shots.
Saw a lot of you at 3 gun, hope you all had a great time. For those of you that did not make it, the prize table was over $100,00.
Sign up for next year. Everyone got something cool. Even the guys that got DQ'd still got great prizes and half off of next years registration fee.
See you later.
Paulie

Link Posted: 8/18/2004 7:13:07 PM EST
I would be up for Princeton also. One last go around with some of you guys would be fun. I have some 1.75" Oak butcherblock I'd like to shoot up and maybe some different metals. Would also like to do some double taps and rapid fire. Anyone else up for Princeton?
Link Posted: 8/19/2004 12:35:45 PM EST
I'd be there, but I'm afraid of getting shot in the hand.

Link Posted: 8/19/2004 3:20:37 PM EST
I'd be up for Princeton, my sister wants to go too. For a liberal, she does like to shoot I'll probably be at the gunshow on Saturday afternoon. I need to get a sling for my shotgun.

When & where is the gunshow?

And how much is it to shoot at Princeton? I've never shot there other than Sully's class.
Link Posted: 8/20/2004 8:17:46 AM EST
Well, I don't know if she's hot or not, she's my sister. She does have pink hair and a bunch of piercings tho.

I need a sling for my Ithaca M37, a CQB SOP sling with the 1" webbing tabs on each end will work out best I think. Whipped up the front mount last night, prolly do the rear mount tonight.
