We're gonna meet up for breakfast Saturday before the match, thought I'd throw out an invite to the rest of you....( so you don't get jealous... )

WHERE=

Hales restaurant on McLoughlin, 17884 SE McLoughlin, Miklwaukie, OR
It's between Jennings and Rothe on the East side of the street.

WHEN=

Shooting for 7:00 am.....(pun intended )
It's only a 15-20 min drive to Tri-County from there, so should be plenty of time to eat and still make it on time.

Come on out!

Canada is closer and cheaper to get to. Who needs Hawaii?
We can do it after the Washington ARFCOM shoot, heck we'd be 1/2 way there ..................

Sounds like a good time but I'm in Tigard so I would be doubling back. I've heard that
McKenzie Grill in Sherwood(about 2 miles from the range) has good breakfasts.

Make it closer to the range and I'll join ya.

I'm going to this PR match only as an observer (yes, JAFO) to spark my interest.

Mind if I join you guys for breakfast as well?
Link Posted: 8/10/2005 3:35:16 PM EDT
Yes, by all means come to breakfast!

Bring an extra $15 anyway 'cause by the time we're done with ya, you'll wanna shoot.......and I'll have an extra Mauser you can use. Make that, will use... It's yours if ya want.

Actually, I can't stay for most of the match. I'll probably be there for an hour or two after it begins. I wasted most of last weekend on gunning at Tri County, etc.
The previous 3 weeks I was in San Jose. This Sunday is the Oregon Rally Cross. I still have half my crap sitting in the garage from where I've tried to move into my house. I still have no TV (after 6 weeks).

So, let me watch the first time. If I like it (I should), I'll be there next month.

Although I'll need to get some of those snazzy camo pants...

Ya, the camo pants is about as "tactical" as I get. But let me tell ya, they beat the hell out of ruining your good jeans

So, see ya breakfast?

Might be a good thing that he doenst use your mauser boo

Went out this after noon shot my new 9mm carbine checked the zero again on the mauser. Well I am getting light strikes and about %25 failure to fire with 3 different kinds of ammo. I may have another firing pin and may be able to tweak the mainspring, but in the event I cant...well I may need to use your vz.

ANyway, I will let you know tomorrow afternoon.

Are you safe and even a little familier with your rifle? I made the mistake of "Observing" the first match I went to. You will regret not shooting in the first 5 min. If my fat ass can shoot this match I'm sure that you can. Not many people will laugh at you if you suck (I might, but not to your face ) At least come ready to shoot the match and decide before the match starts.

If he shows up to breakfast and you guys dont talk NoAim into shooting I'll be very disappointed! And you guys dont want to disappoint Mark do ya? No! Of course you dont!

Mark.

I also have a CZ-24 and a Nagant someone can use. I have about 70 rounds of turk 8mm and 100 rounds of wolf 7.62x54 to go with them.
And they might be for sale.

Peer pressure is awesome!!!

You will not regret going, it is mucho-funno
Link Posted: 8/11/2005 6:33:43 AM EDT
Even if you dont have a classic rifle to use, you can still shoot your AR or other mil spec rifle. A suggestion was made that you bring a pistol cal carbine as all targets will be paper and knocking a metal gong hard enough to score is a non issue.

As said before you will regret not bringing a gun and not shooting, even if only for a few hours and a couple stages.

See you all there.
