Well, as I've mentioned elsewhere, I was told my contract was not going to be extended.

A couple days later I was given two weeks notice.  That was this past Monday, so my last day is a week from today.

Yes, I am both unhappy and happy about this - no regular paycheck and yet, I don't have to deal with the wackiness that is a development job with no development.

Of course, taking a 2.5 billion dollar write down because you won't be able to sell product you had planned on, doesn't help the company
