Talk about sticking your neck out. But he is saying all the right things and shying away from the black helicopter/New World Order crazy talk.
I wholly support his efforts. I think he is absolutely correct in saying that something is going to have to fill the void to protect and serve the public as governments will no longer be able to afford to maintain the levels of service they have had for the last few decades.

so wait....im not to informed about this part of NYS law....is it really illegal to form a militia? and wouldnt that infringe on our rights? I always thought that was one of the things our for fathers insisted in to KEEP the GOVT from getting to powerful and keeping the american people able to defend themselves?

that is for people living in the United States.

NY is exempt from that. Kind of like NYC and NYS pistol permits.

I think its rediculous if thats the case (militias being illegal).....that's how the country we live in was founded, became free, stayed free, etc....

"militia" has a negative stigma today, but didnt 200 years ago. A minuteman was a patriot then, and today a dangerous radical.
Those in the past went from being patriots...to being considered radicals in today's world. Funny how things work.

yeah, cause the govt wants to make sure we could never fight back now. eventually people are going to get sick of the crap..and being robbed of their money. the govt just want to make sure they are ready.

the sheriff showed up and told them if they form a group called a "militia" they could
all go to jail

so...they are going to form a "neighborhood watch" group

i am sure that they will be closely watched....and probably
will have some undercover agents as members, just to
make sure they dont get uppity

they got about 20 people at the meeting and had to move it from
the diner to the town hall.....

another meeting is scheduled in a couple weeks, i think

N.Y. already has not one, but two official "militias".

They are called the New York Guard, and also the New York Naval Militia

I'm thinking the NYARNG, and the NYANG are also in the NY militia. Remember the NY national guard is at the Governor's call unless federalized. yes the NGB does fund the guard. I'm not sure who pays for the equipment, something tells me it was state funded in part.

I was in the USMCR and it was recognized as part of the NYS naval militia, not sure why but it was listed as such. Only discovered it when I'd get some occasional newsletter from the state.
