I'm sure some folks on here buy and sell guns on The Outdoors Trader. Anyone attending the Gun Show and Swap meet this Saturday? Might be a good change from the normal lackluster gun shows, especially if a good many people bring trade items.

Should be noted that tickets have to be purchased online. No ticket sales at the door.

Briefly considered going in an attempt to unload an item on the EE, not sure if it’s worth it though.

I completely forgot about it. If I get some work caught up I will get some tickets. I haven't been to one - they've been shut down due to COVID.
Most things on their are kind of high priced, but find occasional bargains and met some nice sellers. I hope the swap meet isn't beyond retail pricing seems like prices are coming down at the stores but not on the trader. |

I'm curious, why limit it to just ODT members? Seems like all it will be is just the in-person version of surfing the EE there...

View Quote Because it was organized by the founder of ODT in celebration of ODT's 10 year anniversary (2 years ago) but Covid lockdowns prevented it from happening for the 10th. Yes there are members here that are members on ODT. I'm not sure, but you may have to be a member of ODT to purchase tickets. |

Had no idea. I’m a fan of ODT, people actually leave me feedback on there when I buy stuff, unlike on here lol.

Wow. What a great event. Better than any gun show I've been to in Ga in 30 years.

I hate that I missed it, I was going to bring some C&R stuff for trade/sale but my wife gave birth to our second daughter on Friday afternoon.

Plus, there were some really good deals...still kicking myself for not picking up that lightweight Remington stock. Eta: if I had known the turnout was going to be that good, I would have gotten my own table. |

Even though I paid a couple of years ago, I forgot to pick a table till the last minute and got one top level, not main floor and still had folks coming by the whole time till I mostly sold out at around 2:00 and packed up. I just brought odds and ends and sold $1200 worth of stuff I just needed gone. If I had known how much room I would have I would have brought twice as much stuff.
The thing that made it more like the gun shows from 30 years ago is a good majority of the folks coming in the door brought in guns and accessories to sell or trade. I saw a ton of great deals. Buyers and sellers were happy. I didn't see a bunch of the "negotiating" normally seen at gun shows. People put a fair price on the stuff, buyers recognized a fair deal and paid cash. It wasn't the same old vendors that fill the guns shows, it was just a bunch of folks who cleaned out their stuff and had a big gun loony version of a garage sale. I bought a nice redfield / leupod version 3x9 for $75, a vintage folding Normark filet knife for $10, some Weaver grand slam rings for $10, a gunsmithing screw driver set for $5, and a threaded barrel Norinco JW-15 .22 with a scope for $75. |

Nice. This is good to hear. When another rolls around let us know and we can try and get more folks to it.

What a contradiction. I check ODT most days...lately there has seems to be very little listed less than $1000, even the $500 stuff.
Love me some $500 Taurus G3c and such too. ![]() |

Cobb Police that I come in contact with said there were not alot of guns there, compared to a normal "established" show. FWIW. Granted, the same dealers with the same overpriced inventory were not there. bUt tHey knOw whaT thEy haVe, LoL.
