I talked to the team, here's what we came up with:

-Munchies: beef jerky, mixed nuts, trail mix, peanut brittle, etc.

-Baby wipes

-Batteries (mostly AA and 123A Surefire batteries)

Only other thing I can think of is original Copenhagen. I noticed today
at the PX that we finally got some in, though it's the export type in
plastic cans. If anyone is so inlcined, I figure some of the die-hard
Cope-heads would enjoy it.

We have a library here on post so books aren't in short supply, but if
the donations have produced some that need to be shipped I'll be sure
they make it to the library. Whatever we don't need will go to other
units or the Chaplain.

Thank you and everyone involved in this project,
it means a lot to everyone downrange, especially during this holiday

To help protect the servicemen and women from receiving unwanted attention from trolls, malcontents etc, if you would like to send a care package, please send them to my home address. I will cover shipping overseas:

There are some items that can NOT be mailed to the unit. Porn, girly mags, Alcohol.

Hehehe, and that's the stuff we want the most!!
Good idea TRG. I'm sure the troops will really appreciate it. I'll ask around and see if I can get some info for you guys. I will be transferring to Iraq, hopefully this weekend. I'm going to Camp Echo which is about halfway between Tallil and Baghdad. If you need anything from me let me know. I'll do what I can!

They realy like the Copenhagen in the cardboard and tin cans, they get it in plastic over there and it is just not the same. Rice Krispi treats and Ramen noodles are also big with Grunts. RH

a little birdie told me that those 750ml plastic flasks of whiskey don't have much trouble getting there

also........you're sending them tabasco? what kind of asshole are you exactly?!?!?!? send louisiana hot sauce instead since they have tabasco running out of their asses already. mike sold a 69 cent bottle of it for $30 to a guy that apparently wanted it worse than he did..........

those individually wrapped packets of real coffee is a big hit too and don't forget the marlboros. breakfast of champions and all that shit.
