Sunday night, Arkansas State Police are still trying to figure out how
four family members, including a child, died in a car crash in Faulkner
County Sunday afternoon.

At this hour, police have not released
the names of the four victims, but we do know two cars were involved in a
chase moments before the deadly crash.

The family members were
driving in the same car, and were killed near the intersection of U.S.
Highway 64 and Lawrence Lane East of Conway around 12:30 p.m.

Sunday
night, the Arkansas State Police spokesperson tells FOX16, witnesses
say a car was chasing another car when it spun out of control and hit a
third and fourth car.

State Police took the drivers involved in
the chase into custody for questioning. Police will forward what they
find out to a prosecuting attorney who will decide whether to file
charges in this deadly crash.

A woman in the car with the four
victims survived and is at a Little Rock hospital. Preliminary reports
show at least three other people got hurt in the crash, but Arkansas
State Police say two of them likely have minor injuries.

Arkansas State Police are investigating an accident near Vilonia that killed four and injured others Sunday after a driver of a vehicle allegedly involved in a "chase" lost control and hit two vehicles.

State police are investigating the accident, which occurred at about 12:35 p.m. and involved three vehicles on Highway 64 near its intersection with Lawrence Lane, east of Conway.

"Preliminary statements from witnesses indicate the crash was a direct result of a driver pursuing a second vehicle, losing control and striking two other vehicles," according to a news release issued by ASP. Highway Patrol Troopers and ASP special agents assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division interviewed the drivers of the two vehicles involved in the chase, and the news release states an investigative file will be submitted to a prosecuting attorney to determine what, if any, criminal charges could be filed. Police didn't identify the suspects involved in the chase.

Police said three adults and one child were killed in the same vehicle, and one woman who was with the family survived and was transported to a Little Rock hospital.

Police said at least three other people were injured, but two of the injuries were "believed to be minor."

As of press time, police hadn't identified the four killed because they were still notifying family members.

We had just passed through there on our way to Conway just 15 minutes before; we waited in the traffic 1 hour before taking Rocky Point back to Vilonia.

I'm waiting to hear the final report.
