Anyone ever try T's 223 reloads from Texas City? I was thinking of picking some up at the gun show but wanted to ask here first.

Fugging rock! I have had NO problems with 5-7K (yes K) rounds of the stuff.

Ditto, although mostly other calibers, T's seems quite serious about the quality of his ammo, but for 223/5.56 I buy Q3131A by the cases.

I got some 75 gr reloads from him that worked pretty well for me. I need to get back down there and get some more. I think I'll try some of his 68's too...

Funny story about the 75's
A friend of mine and I were looking for something about as heavy as we could get for shooting @the 600 yd line in hipower matches. My buddy calls T's and he says he's got some 79 grain Hornady reloads for (I think) $14.00/50. He says he only keeps a few around for this guy who uses them for varmint loads.
Now, I've never heard of Hornady making 79 gr pills, but that don't mean that they don't make 'em, and I know 80 grainers are over mag length (T. says these will feed in a mag)
I bought some anyway, and it really got to bugging me, so I pulled one and weighed the bullet--sure enough--74.9gr

To make a long story even longer, I thought the loads were good, and I'll use them 'til I finally get set up to make my own...

I bought some .45-70 loads at a gun show recently to try in my Sharps repro. MAN they were STOUT! Much hotter than Remington factory loads. I didn't want to risk overpressure, so I disassembled 60 of them and will load them with black powder when I get a round tuit.

Mostly good. I had a box of .30-30 rounds that weren't properly re-sized. They would barely chamber in my 94.

I bought a box of 125 grain .30-30 rounds that were DAMN HOT. I'd never seen a .30-30 varmint round before.

I have been using his stuff for years. Both pistol and rifle calibers.
I have shot thousands of rounds of his stuff and I can't recall ever having an ammo
related failure.
Good stuff at a good price.
He is the main reason that I don't reload my own ammo.

Thanks everybody.

He seems very knowledgable and his reloads looked top notch. IIRC the crimp around the case mouth was smooth and tapered like 3131a or lake city, which I liked; cannelured bullet and loaded to nato spec. I'll probably pick some up this weekend.

His prices on match type .308 aren't bad either.

About a year or so ago, I was looking for an ffl to do transfers for me and I found him to be a little on the high side.

Roy is good people, excellent service, willing to deal, and will customize your ammo. Used their ammo in several guns, worked flawlessly. Nobody in this area is better. nuff said.......
