I'm heading off in 15 minutes, bringing my girlfriend and another friend (their first gunshow)

I'll be there in an hour or two.

If my brother ever calls me back....

Supply and demand.

It's all going to Afghanistan and East Africa right now.

The US is running on a shortage, you didn't get the memo?

I agree though, prices are asinine.

But in retrospect, Winchester Q3131 was there for $199/1,000 which is about par for the course, for the past several years. Shouldn't there be a shortage on that ammo, too?

Afgan army and East African rebels don't sport very many M16's/AR15's.

They prefer the soviet style counterpart, hence the demand for 7.62x39.

But Q3131 (not Q3131A) is a newly re-introduced part, there's no shortage of it at this time,  5 stores in the Ammo list have Q3131 in stock, along with 3 different shops I've been to in the last month.

The price is fair though at $199+tax.

Was this guy wearing a leather jacket, and was flanked by a mid-height half-asian chick and a taller white gentleman with a 5-o'clock shadow?

I should wear an ARFCOM shirt or something when I go out to gun shows.

Yeah, it's terrible.

I guess I'll retire my SKSes for a while and stick with the Garand.
