I have an idea. I have so much extra crap around here that I would LOVE to get rid of and it would be a pain selling it on ebay or whatever. Why don't we plan a Casa Grande shoot (Before it get's TOO hot) and open up our tailgates to a mini swap meet. Sell or trade all that old or out dated gear, loose ammo, ammo you don't have a gun for. etc.. No dealers! Just regular guys selling their extra crap to make a few bucks to go buy MORE crap..

Of course those who are dealers can join this, but not in a dealer capacity. Just sell your extra junk, shoot and have a good time at the range.

What say you?

I forgot about those imbeciles!

But no!  The dirt burners are a group of "special" idiots that took a bunch of FLAME THROWERS out to the CG range.  They posted pics of them burning the dirt and the air.

It's like they want to keep taking dumb shit out there that is NOT SPECIFICALLY BANNED by Casa Grande until the city finally says FUCK IT... and shuts the range down to the general public completely.

When the city decided to stop the use of tannerite, they posted a sign and it stopped.  And when a few guys did use it the police showed up and issued warnings.  No one shut down the range or turned it into a private range.  

If it is legal to own, legal to use and not banned at the range why do some people want it regulated?  

Could it just be jealousy?

They did look into shutting it down as a public range and make it private and hiring Range Masters. But, they decided to let people act like adults and they renovated it and kept it open to the public with some restrictions. But, some people are hell bent on using Tannerite or .50 cals down there. I hear "They can't tell ME what to do" or "There aren't any signs so that means I can do it"...

Is it so difficult to have a shoot without Tannerite or .50 cals if the City asked us not to have it? I live down here and I like that range. I don't want it shut down because some knuckleheads think it's their "right" to blow shit up..

And, nobody from this board has said that AZS guys aren't invited like it says on the other board. Many ARFCOM guys are also AZS guys. This is a shooters day. Every (responsible) shooter is invited. Just leave the Tannerite and .50 cal at home.. If you decide to bring them, don't be surprised when the po-po has a tizzy and tells us to leave..

I love the CG range.  I lived in CG for 5 years after I moved there from Florence.  If they ever made it a private range with dues and a range officers, I would stand in line to pay and join as long as they permitted legal machineguns!

All the guys that I know do not shoot 50 calibers there and I haven't seen tannerite used in many many months.  As for the flame thrower, yea it burned the ground a bit, but didn't leave a lasting markm.  At that shoot (put on by TK) we left the place better than it was when we got there.  I know because I was one of the last few who left.

I hope to meet you guys down there on the 22nd.  I'll bring some money in case I see something I need.  But from reading a post a few up from this one, it seems like some guys don't want to be at the same range as other guys.  Oh well, but it is a big range open to the public.  Come on down and enjoy the camaraderie!

All I ask is that just because our bullets hit the dirt, don't think we don't take our shooting seriously.  Some people have a class A personality, others don't.  To me that doesn't make one guy better than the other.  I hope it doesn't for you either.

Exactly!  The LOOK AT ME SYNDROME shit just does damage to the whole shooting community.

Why the envelope has to constantly be pushed puzzles me.  It's like a bunch of 5 year olds....  "You didn't say I couldn't bring a small Nuke so I'm blowing this thing up."  "The sign out front does not specifically say NO NUKES!"

Why can't shooting be just about shooting and not about outstupidifying the idiot down the line from you?

Nukes are Illegal and Flamethrowers are not.

I think that 37/40 mm and Flamethrowers should be treated the same.
