So this morning around 7:30 I hit my morning store for gas and coffee, Fritz store at GA 20 & Honeycreek. I pull in to the pump and start to get out as Rockdale and 3-4 undercovers pull in fast, one Rockdale stopped in front of my truck. I give the officer a look like WTF..and he ask's me did I see any car leave here, I told him no and ask whats going on...was told to sit tight for a sec. They conversed with store clerk and came back and told me the store was closed and moved his car for me to leave.
 I assumed they got hit, sure enough I stop in on the way home and talked with the clerk, armed robbery, no shots fired and was caught on all cameras....
 
 I know it's that time of yr, but really....after the robbery and shooting at the Ingles on Salem the other night, this, and all the home breakins, I REALLY am getting sick of Rockdale!!!!  I lived here for over 15 yrs and now looking at moving outta this area...it's become nothing more that East Dekalb county and a little "dark" for my liking...yes that was a racist statement, but the truth is the truth.....

Henry County sucks too so keep looking !

Yeah I wouldn't head that way either..lol  Clayton, Henry, Rockdale has become a open sore that won't heal. I am thinking Lake Jackson area...it will give me an excuse to buy a bass boat  

Richmond Cty is getting pretty 'dark' too, and has been for the last few year's.

Tifton Ga,Richmond Hill Ga or Dalanagha are my choices.

Yup, this is why after Kelly and I are married next year we will be moving back to my place in Lincoln County, where I can actually leave my truck running while I'm in the gas station and shoot  rifles while sitting on the front porch.

Exactly why my in-laws moved from there 3.5 years ago. North GA mountains are much brighter.

it's any urban area now, just looking at voting maps. where there is a high population of democratic voters, you can see high crime areas. same goes with section 8.

If it weren't for staying at least somewhat close to family and my wife's office, I'd be all for moving a couple hours out of Atlanta.  I don't mind driving two hours to work every third day.

Hitech , I noticed a RCSO  slick top parked front row center at the  B N G   across from   Lowes , yesterday ,  never saw the officer.  I've never seen that before at that location,  Tis the season.

I use fritz. live in the honey creek area and know what you mean about the robberies etc.  but that shit happens in ALL major cities.

I know it happens all over, but This part of Rockdale really has gone to shit. I'm around the Ralph and Stanton area and several breakins have happened from summer to now. I think the ONLY reason me and my neighbor hasn't been hit is because I have 2 LARGE Akita's and neighbor has a large pit. I have had 2 strangers come knocking and asking for some BS name like Antwon..casing the house is all they were doing.
There are A LOT of sec. 8 in our 'hood and it brings all the joys that go with Gov. funded BS.  I don't like the fact that the place I spent 15 yrs of my life and liked has forced me to looking at moving away.....

North Hall county is very bright!

I used to live off Clarks Bridge rd.. It's was nice, but the Mexicans that took over in town and the 2 hours drive each way got real old...lol

Gwinnett, DeKalb, Cobb Etc were all "very bright" as you put it once upon a time.

Luckily I managed to sale my acreage in N Rockdale before the market crashed. To bad I wasn't as lucky in Gwinnett or Walton Co.
