So I need to get some work on my AK and I was wondering if anyone can share their experience with them. I haven't found a smith I'm super fond of. My experience is they keep my guns for months and I have to hound them to get the work done.

Any feedback relating to turn around time, price ect?

Thanks.

I had them convert my Saiga a few months back and they did a pretty good job. They completed the job in the agreed upon amount of time and the price was slightly lower than any of the other shops I checked. The only issue I had is that they didn't install the screw on the bottom of my SGM tactical rail so it slid forward and backward about an inch or so until I found a screw that fit and installed it myself. They also Cerakoted the gun and took the initiative to give me a status update call halfway through. I haven't worked with any other shop in the area so I have nothing to compare them to, but I would definitely use them again should the need arise.

I have purchased from them. I usually deal with Greg who is there during the week. They are down to Earth, friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to use them for work.

I haven't had any smith work done by them.  However, I used them for a FFL transfer before.  They were very prompt kept me informed and were actually cheaper than anyone else in the area.  They even gave me a couple parts that the original owner forgot to include.  I would ask to see an example of their work, but from dealing with them I can say they are stand up guys.

I've purchased some NFA from them, and had them put a new floated quad rail on one of my AR15's. Good guys, and I will continue to do business with them.

I had them do some NFA engraving that came out quite nicely done. They have handled a few Title I transfers for me. I always try to ask for Louis simply because that is who I have dealt with in the past. I did not know they were now doing AK work. I had asked about that a couple years ago and was told they just weren't into it (ie; they didn't want to tackle a job they weren't confident would turn out the way I expected - I am totally OK with that). They have always been professional and polite and delivered exactly what they promised WHEN promised.

They are easier to deal with than their website would make you think

They did work on a shotgun and a R700, happy with the work.

How do their prices compare to other smiths and adco?

They converted/did some barrel work my saiga last year. Took about a month to turn around. Nice folks, great work.

I had them install a new mag latch on an AK this fall. They accidentally put the spring in backwards; when I called them about it, they were super apologetic. I told them that everyone makes mistakes, and they fixed it for me without any troubles.
