For too long, We have allowed a minority (vocal certainly, but a minority none the less) to control the manner in which we are allowed to exercise our Constituitionally protected rights.    For too long, we have quietly stood by while our 2nd Amendment rights and other basic freedoms have been eroded in the name of 'public safety'.  

We must stand together friends, as one, and say to those who would lead us quietly into bondage:  
I am an American, Proud of My Nation and its Flag.   Return the tools of Liberty to the hands of those like me, so that we may continue to bear Freedom's burden.

We should all contact our state legislators and state congressmen, imploring them to repeal the 1989 Roberti Roos Assault Weapons Control Act.   Bad legislation has never saved a life, but a gun in the hands of someone trained in its use... has protected countless.

We should never give up, but you have to remember one thing.  The #@$#$ in Sacramento KNOW that these laws are ineffective.  THEY DO NOT CARE!  All they really want is to deny us the right to own ANY firearms.  AWBs just happen to be easy for them to demonize to the general public.  We need a way to get this point across to the public and large so that they start punishing these politicians when such laws are created.

California's state Constitution does not have a "2nd Amendment" or RBKA statute.

I personally hold the Federal Constituion above any State Constitution.  But I am a Patriotic Moron.

You're right, we DO need to hold our elected officials accountable for the bad legislation that is allowed to remain on the books.   We also need to get some sort of grass roots educational program going that will shine the light of truth on so many misconceptions that seem prevailant in our great state.  

Unless we speak up, they will continue to use our silence against us all.

Then we need to get redistrictinng... otherwise, I'm going to seriously consider taking myself, my family and our money... out of California.    

God help me, I love my home state... but I am sickened by what it has become... and can only pray that we the people can turn the system around... otherwise, I'll go somewhere that I can make a living, protect my family and continue to be proud of the Nation in which I live.
