Since it has a muzzle break and not a flash hider, does that mean that a NJ res can mount a SOCOM in a pistol grip stock? Fixed stock too, not a telescoping one.

Anyone?

i dont think there is a pistol grip stock that will work
I looked into this and most wont work...none will take
for example the ACE entry stock, which was the stock i wanted to use
anyone else care to look further into this?
Vltor sent me a letter stating it wont accept AR stocks
Sage, I have never gotten a reply
maybe I might just go with the McMillan stock as its somewhat of a pistol grip

I briefly thought of trying a new stock on my SOCOM, but I like it too much the way it is. Don't really plan on changing anything except for maybe adding some sort of optics.

Yep, I think it's legal. No bayo lug, no flash hider, but you must use a fixed stock. SAGE makes a new version of their stock called a EBR CQB that uses an AR grip and stock--that's the ticket IMO.

YMMV.

May be...but the RE-1 car tube that the VLTOR carbine stock uses can ALSO be used with their RIFLE mod stock. You use that middle position for your manual locking pin. You can't change the length until you use a screw driver to pull out the pin.

Well, how many customers does VLTOR have to deal with that live in states where the law abiding are treated like criminals? Most everywhere else a car stock is no big deal...
