but I managed to get a few pictures...

I can't find the old Speed Steel thread that WS4lif started in Dec so here is a new one.

Thanks to CH139 for letting me shoot his Colt 9mm AR15 after the match. That was fun to rapid fire at close range steel. Sorry, no pictures of you of this time.

There were six nice stages today and I shot fewer rounds than usual so maybe I'm getting better at this. I spent so much time talking to arfcom people I didn't have time to think about the stages beforehand. I just went up and shot. Stage One was an ammo burner, but everything else went by smooth as silk. It's nice when the targets are larger than your sights.

Here is Spambo tearing up the steel with his SIG (he shot some very tight DA groups near the end):

Here are a couple of Glocklady splattering lead on steel with her Glock (of course):

I hope to see a few more of the gang there next month.

I had a great time at my first Speed steel competiton. Before the match I looked at the stages and
thought, only 6 targets in each stage. Hmmmm, I wonder how I am going to burn up that much
ammo just shooting at 36 targets total?

The match starts and I find out we shoot 5 strings on each stage and your official time is the
quickest time of the 5. The first couple were rough. Lots of misses and I would have been
embarrassed if I wasn't having sooooo much fun, blasting away with my Sig Sauer.

It made it evenbetter since several Arfcom members were there: TangoFoxTrot, Glock Lady,
Ch139 and several guys from Practical Rifle. I would encourage anyone who wants to work
on their pistol skill and have fun to go thru IPSC certification and participate in these matches.

After the match Ch139 had to show off his Colt 9mm SBR. It's a sweet shooter. Anoter one of the
PR crew, Dave ? let me fire his Beretta CX Storm in 9mm. Damn you guys, now I have to have
a 9mm carbine, but which one? Decisions, decisions........

TangoFoxTrot, thanks for the picture! Ch139, GlockLady and others, thanks for a good time. I'll
be there next month.

Sorry I missed it. :(

Looks like the next chance I will have be April but we'll probably have a sub-month old baby so I'm not sure about that.

I'll make it eventually.

I had a great time too, didn’t do too well, but had a great time.

That little 9mm arf is one of my favorites; ya’ll are welcome to shoot it anytime. Got to bump fire it on one of the big targets after the match.

I don’t know that ISPC certification is required to shoot Speed Steel; I hope not, I’ve never gotten certified. Just show up and shoot. …revolvers

No, according to the TCGC rules, the certification is not required for speed steel. Presumably because there is no movement.

I'm hoping to do it next month. I would have done it this time, but I was getting ready for the annual Beef-Bowl day. I'll try it out with my .22 the first time out to see how I do.

Ch139 or Spambo,
Did either of you happen to get the results from the match yesterday? I thought the last time I went, I heard someone mention a web site where you could get the results too. Just curious to see how everyone did.
