Yesterday, while driving North on I95 between Woodbridge and the Beltway, I saw something I haven't seen before. At the Route 1 onramp, there was a VA state police car parked perpendicular to traffic. There was one uniformed officer standing outside the car, next to the drivers door. The other officer was in full tactical gear, including body armor and mag pouches standing next to him. They did not have a radar gun and were focused on traffic.

Strange? Yeah, but wait.

Just before we hit the beltway, there was another one. Exactly like the other, parked in the median on the right, perpendicular to traffic, two officers with one in full tac gear, watching traffic.

What the fuck is going on?

Why would Allawi be going that way??? Hummmmmmm. Is that the way to Dulles? Nope. Driving to/from Richmond?

I can verify that there were some very important MiddleEastern men visiting town today with escorted access, visiting some interesting places.

Where did the HOV subject come up? Anyway parts of it here are ok for 1 person going South and if you have a Hybrid or motercycle you are ok too.

Btw, I got stopped for 5 mins yesterday for the pres motercade. Going down 18th and crossing on E towards the White House. See them all the time in DC.

Poor attempt at a joke. I've only been on 95 up in CT. HOV lanes are non-existant in Missouri, and I always found them to be kind of strange when I was up that way on business.

that film you posted is all kinds of disturbing.

BTW, the Iraqi Prime Minister was in DC this week (Thursday, if I remember correctly). he had the most security I have ever seen ( I was eating lunch when they shut things down and the motorcade sped off at full speed between the White House and Congress.

I'd be VERY surprised if the drove down I95. More likey story is that his helicopter took a trip to Quantico (or elsewhere) and as it flew overhead, they had Tactical guys on the ground watching out of shoulder fired missles, etc.
