these are all things i've heard from coworkers or family members. some rumors, some not...
there are no hotel rooms within a 200 mile radius of Grand Island all hotels in Lincoln have been booked since March some rooms are open in Omaha, but prices are higher than normal AirBnB is insane rental car companies are bringing cars to NE because there is soo much demand most airports, including small ones in western NE are booked solid Ravenna, NE is supposed to see around 100,000 people Beatrice and Lincoln will see about 400,000 people LPS has cancelled Kindergarten for the day LPS will provide eclipse glasses to every student, kids will be outside to see eclipse Bill Nye and Neil Degrass Tyson will be in Beatrice i will be in my driveway watching it with my girls and parents |

I'll be at work. I may go outside and check it out for a few minutes.
I guess I don't see what the big deal is... It's going to be dark for a couple hours in the middle of the day, BFD.

Having a beer on the back deck and watching the show then prepping some BLT's for dinner. They are having a gathering at our town park for it but that is all I know of. Staying off the road that day.

Didn't care. Don't know what time it was. I probably slept through it. I'm more interest in the 15 days of darkness coming up in November.
