The shelves of Walmarts where I am 900 miles from Seattle are loaded with Federal 115gr 9mm for $8.97. A little .40S&W, even less .45ACP, and no 5.56 or 7.62x39.

Is affordable ammo starting to show up around western Washington or should I buy a little more of the 9mm while I can?

I saw a shitpile of 9mm at the store that used to be Sportsman Warehouse last sunday. NO 45ACP though.

No rifle to speak of, not in anything but $30 a box 3006. No 556, 308, 6.8SPC or 300Winmag.

Agreed.

Just as 5.56<7.62

But all have their advantages, disadvantages, and applications.

That being said, how is the availability of the stuff?

Do you recall what they were asking for it? I lucked out a couple of weeks ago and was able to get 8 boxes of the cheap Federal between the Mill Creek WM anb the Everett WM. If the price is right it'll be worth a trip down there. I'm not holding my breath though.

Save the gas, seems to me 16.95 50 American Eagle. Didn't look to hard, my wife stole my 9mm and only shoots 3-4 times a year.

Good thing I didn't hold my breath. Anything over $10 a box for 9mm gets a out of me.

Walmart is out here on the Island but the local dealer has every caliber instock and about 2 different brands of the same caliber. Things are okay here.

I've noticed ammo prices start to come down... my usually ammo source used to have 1000 223 green tips from 650-800 depending on brand now they are at 450... and 1000 of Century military for 350... Sure not as low as this time last year but it's much lower than two months ago...

Walmart in "teH hood" is still bone dry, both of them. I need to pick up more 9mm so I can hit some competitions.

Been able to pick up 9mm at LV Walmart on several occasions the past week. The guy said it has been regularly arriving since they switched from Blazer Brass to Federal.

Just a heads-up guys.

B'ham Wally World says they have a supply of ammo going on the shelf at 9PM tonight,
included in there is some 45 Auto and other stuff.

Hope this helps.

I can find ammo all day long now, I just need primers and powder. I was at Sportmans or whatever the fuck it's called now and they had some, but they had a dude come in an hour before me and buy all 5 pounds Can't really beat $17.99 for a pound but if I wanted to spend a c-note on powder I'd eat the hazmat fee and buy an 8lb keg

If you can afford it, buy it, not like it spoils or something.
