It's for the little people.  You know, the ones who use mass transit rather than being driven around in town cars in limos.

How could such an important man be expected to know what the silly yellow thing is for?

Must be art, no?

Done enough time on platforms in NYC and Chicago.

Yeah, that was close.  Damn near spun him which would have counted as a hit(ish).

The one with the bumps?  Those bumps are only to warn the blind visitors.  So they didn't apply to him.

Someone decided to place the prop board stand there on the yellow line at the platform's edge for the camera shot. That person is the idiot just as much as the media whore Blumenthal is. No way Blumenthal did that. No way that stupid graphic prop would have remained on the board when the Amtrak train whizzed by. This funny little incident does show one thing though. It shows that those who clamor for high speed trains are not the one's who ride them. Anyone who's ridden on MTA more than once or twice knows that you don't stand right on the platform's edge like Blumenthal did nor would you setup the prop board stand there for the same reason.

To bad the conductor didn't kick him as the train went by.

He's the only one "professional" enough to stand that close while discussing train safety...
Link Posted: 4/21/2014 7:29:56 AM EDT
Where is Murphy when you need him????

It's because of all his Viet Nam combat. No one is that brave except for Blumey.

Imagine for a moment Sen "Mr Middle Class" Murphy got run over by the train. Lard would be spattered for 200 yards!

The irony of him getting hit by an MTA train while holding a presser complaining about MTA safety would have been priceless.
