I wish I had a Mom with the name "Birdie Billie". I guess he will check for a loaded chamber next time, tough way to learn.

Obviously not out teaching him firearms safety, thats for sure. In societies such as Israel, teenagers are able to draw weapons from the police station before going into bad neighborhoods, I wonder why they never shoot themselves...

Not very often, unless you have had some village gunsmithing done to it. When a gun can mean eating or not, I guess you have to do what you have to do

My guess is that there is more to the story

a 10 second lesson on gun safety could have prevented this. 2 seconds to check the chamber at least.

Life is different in the village, adult supervision isnt a priority.
