After recent shoots in the rain/heat and sweat I noticed my little XD .45 Compact can be a little hard to hold on to.  It needed a better grip that offered traction under wet conditions so  I decided to give it to Snail to do his magic.  The pictures speak for themselves.  I was totally impressed far beyond my wildest expectations.

Thx Ben -- it feels awesome and shoots even better.  It's also not uncomfortable for me to carry inside the pants.

Great pics, and I'm glad you like it!

(I'm also glad that my magic grip job makes your sweaty little Compact 45 easier to hang onto under wet conditions, and is comfortable beyond your wildest expectations inside your pants....  )

WOW -- this thread really has gone to uncharted territories ...  I think I'm going to drop out of the class @ eagle tactics -- I don't think it is safe any longer ...  Or I could always wear bullet proof ass protection.

Working on a guy's G20 (also did a G19 for him awhile back) and his dad's G26 right now.

I never really cared much for the G26-series, but I'm really liking how this one turned out, and I'm considering getting one for myself as a B.U.G.

out of curiosity how much would you charge for a g22 if you don't mind me asking?

No ones supposed to know about that.

On a separate note -- Umm Ben ????  Ummm -- If you go to TG on Thursday I want you to take home with you my other XD  u ok with that ?  I purchased 1000 rounds of .45 yesterday -- I no longer plan on using the 9mm for Nelsons class :)

Also,  Nelson is VERY interested in seeing your work on glocks -- make sure you bring some samples.

I'll probably be at TG on Thursday, and by then I'll be ready to take your next XD.  I got a couple other guys who've contacted me expressing interest in having work done, and as soon as I get the two Glocks I'm working on finished, I'll be ready to take a few more frames in.

I'm most likely going to shoot Nelson's course with my modified G17. 9mm is what I have the most of right now...45 & 357 Sig are enough to bankrupt me.  Besides, the G17 and G32 are the only Glocks I have left.  The G32 is for sale, so I'm not going to use it in the course, and all of my other Glocks (did grip work on all of them) are long gone...people made me offers I couldn't refuse.    But Ariel will be at the course, and will probably use a G19 I worked on.

I just got the 1000 rounds shipped for $200 -- Its wolf but my XD's love that Russian crap

I'm looking into a 9mm XD now ...  Just to have something cheaper to shoot.  I would HATE having to be forced into shooting that "other" pistol I just purchased.

Check my ad in the NFA section.  Because we're in FL, it's only a F4 to F4 transfer, and 1 tax.

I need to make a pilgrimage to Walmart to stock up on .45 ACP and 223.  I'm good to go with 9mm, but don't want to shoot my SS109 5.56 in the course.  Hey...you took care of me, ammo-wise, with the last carbine course...

Best option for .223 ammo right now is at basspro -- they have Remington at $65 a box of 200.

Ammoman is the best option for .45 brass.  Its $289 shipped for 1000 rounds of new lawman ammo.

Thx for the heads-up.  All the online sources are drying up, or charging what used to be the market value of a good kidney.
