My dad has been asking me about going shooting and he is turning 69 in a couple week.  I thought it would make a good gift but I don't know where around central FL we can shoot skeet.  We live in Lake County.  Anyone know of a spot?

The only ones I know of are Hernando County Sportsmans Club and Tampa Bay Sporting Clays which is in Central Pasco County. I would definitely check out the Tampa Bay one, as it's probably not too far from you, off SR52 and it's a real nice place.

Just west of Ocala off Alt US Hwy 27 (on the left side of the road) is a sporting clays range I believe.  Call Ocala Armory, I'm sure they can give you the number.  Seems like I remember a place called Silver Dollar Trap range down near Port Richey/Tarpon Springs but that was YEARS ago.

Robinson Ranch Trap & Skeet Club

Inglis, FL 34449

Trap and skeet are $7 a round if you're a non-member.

Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday - 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday - 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Closed Monday and Friday

Kind of goofy hours, but they've always been good to me.

Been here. Nice people it seemed. Would have no problem recommending it for a round or two of skeet.

Do they have skeet there? I've been there for their sporting clays course, that's all I went for, so that's all I saw.

No Skeet at Tenoroc. You best bet is Polk Skeet and Trap in Winter Haven. They are open Saturday and Sunday not sure of the times. But from 6pm to 10pm on Thursday nights are cool for the working man. If you know someone with access Lakeland Rifle and Pistol Club has 2 skeet fields that are nice.
