I have a crazy idea. What would it cost me to build an 11'x7' trailer capable of carrying roughly 1000 pounds?

Instead of buying a pop-up trailer like I had originally planned, I figure I can build(or buy if it is significantly cheaper) and mount my camper to it. Then I can drag it around with the Ranger or the Scout.

Buy a Katrina trailer when they go to auction...

Take the money you would have put into the trailer and sell off the camper, and buy a smaller pull behind, or a popup tent trailer type deal?

Putting a camper, on top of a trailer, is a nono outside of Tennesee.

Figure I can either buy a used trailer or build one for a couple hundred bucks so

$300 + $100(for my current camper) = $400

$400 doesn't get much in the way of a popup or travel trailer(unless I happen on a good deal again). Plus then I can take the camper off and have a little utility trailer to bang around with.

Is that like a Wa law or something? I've seen several others setup that way up here.

Don't for get that if you build a trailer there is a $50 inspection fee plus tabs and plate is almost $100.

Not an RCW that I know of, just a matter of bad taste.

Examples:
