Lets hear it.

Carry permits should not exist in the first place. Bill of rights covers it already.

I didn't know Aaron Dorr was on Arfcom.

Ya man, I can't stand the fact that all those people who aren't as good as me are being treated equally. I long for the days of Jim Crow laws, and I buy into the myth that a politician should be able to deny my civil rights at whim.

Fascinating topic.

Maybe Rosa Parks should have sat down with the sheriff so he could tell her where she could sit.

Do you think it should? Is there a reason why only a select few should have the right to protect themselves and their families solely based on how buddy - buddy they are with the local sheriff?

It seems you lean towards going back to MAY issue since you started this topic - unless you are completely bored and just want to stir the pot for a while. I am sure a few other people would like to know why you think it should also.

Read the end of the permit thread, he is only baiting people to be an antagonist.
Link Posted: 1/9/2015 2:44:50 PM EST
My rights shouldn't be determined by who I'm friends with. I checked out the other thread and want to make sure you realize that you don't need a carry permit to shoot guns on a public range so the new law of shall issue had zero to do with the 4 times you had bullets fly by your head.

I also had a permit under the old rules as did many other members here and I am still thankful for the new law and appreciate the work of those people that helped achieve its passage.

Anyone that wants to limit other's freedoms or right to self defense is no friend of mine.

Not sure if trolling or not....

Actually, he is, or at least was.

no I'm generally not a fan of ANY law that infringes my rights...

Holy Fuck! My teachers were all wrong, apparently "there are stupid questions"! (facepalm)

I think civilian scum shouldn't have permits or own firearms.

Hell no - Needs to be Constitutional carry

The problem you have with "almost getting shot by new ccw carriers" probably stems from the fact you frequent Princeton range more than this "new batch of ccw holders". Not a fair place to draw conclusions from.

This. And why would that question even need to be asked op? How many problems in the state of Iowa have their been with permit holders? I have not read of a single one in the area I live.

Also I dare you to go make this thread in GD op.

The Princeton Range has actually been a pretty decent place the last couple years or so since DNR started hanging out there and keeping it clean or whatnot. Also how does one know if someone is being unsafe they are a new CCW holder or not? Could just be someone new to shooting in general. You would not know one way or another.

No, why would we want to move backwards?

I lived in story co when I turned 21, couldn't get a permit. No way in hell should we go back to the good ol' boy system.

Yeah, I heard they are are filled up on grown men that are My Little Pony Fans.

I think what you meant to say was you weren't going to drive 60+ miles to shoot, not with Princeton range being so close and all.
