I'm going to be spending some time in the Mt. Vernon/Mt. Pleasant area periodically, and I'd like to find a place to shoot. I'm not interested in an indoor range. An outdoor range or, better yet, someome's land would be great.

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,

Mike

Mt. Pleasant has/had a outdoor range/club out near Bob Sandlin. IIRC it's a key type club.

Northeast Texas Gun Club
206 Chester, Mt Pleasant 75455

I did a quick search and could not find a contact number.

There is also Skidmore skeet range just north of downtown Mt. Pleasant.

Thanks, Soowah, I'll see if I can find it.

The range out by the lake has closed down...

I have heard of the new range north of town (Harts Bluff Road), but haven't talked to anyone who's shot it and I know nothing of what's available...

If you do stumble upon a good range, let us know and we'll join ya! Lately I'm driving to Longview to shoot..

Oh, man, that sucks. I never went out there but from the road it looked promising.

Maybe when I'm down I'll open up a shoot at my farm in Talco/Wilkinson for you guys.
