I had a delivery from UPS delayed today. The reason given was the plane left Milwaukee late and would not get to Watertown on time for todays delivery.

Does UPS really fly a plane from Milwaukee to Watertown to deliver cargo?

They use c5 galaxy transports for that run. Its the only plane with enough range and lift capacity.

Wouldn't surprise me. Fed Ex takes a package from SW WI bound for central WI (Stevens Point) to Tennessee, then to SP. No kidding.

Related story. I sent a Christmas package to my sister in Naples FL, via UPS. Because it contained some cranberry wine, adult signature was required on delivery. She sent me a text with a picture of UPS making the delivery. Not a big brown truck.... a little brown golf cart, pulling a trailer full of boxes.
