If Ivan gets any closer to me at least. I have some family up there that I haven't seen in forever, they invited me and my immediate family to ride out the storm there if we need to.

What is everyone else's evacuation plans?

I live in Shelby County, so I'll be staying put!..

It's projected to come right through my area, but I'm staying put. The coast is about 30 miles south of me. Where I live, I don't have to worry about flooding.

I'm not sure, I've never been to their house. My mom has, she said they live on the side of a mountain by a lake if that helps

I'm probably changing course though, I think bugging out to my cousins house in Houston will be the best plan.

I'm settled on Houston, packing the last of my stuff now and heading out asap.

Got my guns, dogs, a backpack full of bare necessities and a wallet of cash. Got all my "after storm" supplies in my bathroom for when I head back.

Good luck to you guys.

Well I'm back. The storm totally missed this area other than some wind, at the time I left it was expected to do alot more damage.

Turned out to make it into a nice vacation in Houston - only thing that sucked was the 11 hour drive due to everyone evacuating.
