And what were the hunting intereference dates again?

Link Posted: 7/18/2005 9:46:46 AM EDT
Got a big party on Labor Day weekend. I would definately miss an LCR on that weekend.
Link Posted: 7/18/2005 10:18:39 AM EDT
I have to vote for weekends that i can afford to come out. Unfortunately, only the last weekend we have available in september would work for me.

Back east there is a thing about being 'afield' during these seasons with firearms. Is there anything like that here??

Black Bear Aug 1 - Nov 15
Cougar Aug 1 - Mar 15

Any conflict here either??

Pit shooting is not a problem and bright orange is only required if you are hunting.

If you are hunting something like grouse in an area open to deer or elk I believe you need to have a big game license and an elmer fudd hat. YMMV.

Results of the vote will be at the shoot. You'll have to show up to find out

Only the 17/18th are good for me. Motorsickle riding the week before and slaughtering whitewing doves the next.

The 23rd and 24th is the only weekend that works for us.

I'm going to let the poll run through about wednesday or so, then I will post the chosen days. So get your votes in soon!

I voted for Labor Day weekend because it's a long weekend (not sure if I get a 3-day or a 4-day), and we don't have a company training schedule out yet, so it's also the only weekend I can count on being open.

Before I commit to showing up...I want to make sure there aren't any n00b hazing rituals.

I'll make sure to bring a non-ar15 member so I can just skip that step.

Sounds like a good time to break-in the Bar Rifle.

Good News: 24-25 SEP is not a drill weekend, ergo I can go!

Bad News: The Washington Air National Guard won't let me rent an M16A2, M4, GUU-5/P nor a GAU-5 for the weekend.

Can an authorized Federal LEO sign one out?

I haven't asked about it, but I somehow doubt I'd be allowed to check stuff out of our arms room here, too.

Damn. If the shoot really happens on the 24th/25th, I'll be plucking little birdies from the sky. Elsewhere.
Link Posted: 8/1/2005 5:51:29 AM EDT
Glad I can make this one...

I can't believe this. Yet again the shoot is scheduled for a weekend I'm on call.

I calculated the odds of that are 1 in 512. Tinfoil hat mode on...

Just send your guns and ammo with one of us, we'll make sure they get shot for you.

I just saw the training schedule for September. The week before LCR, we're doing .50 Cal range. Friday, we're doing an AAR, so it's an easy day. Then Sat/Sun is clear. Sweet!

Hopefully I wil be bringing my .50 to LCR this time. I need to call Ferret and see how that bolt upgrade is going.

Called. He is finishing up a run, then will fix it and get her back. The firing pin was indeed FUBAR'd.
