Manassas scrap metal decided that they no longer buy scrap brass cases. Does anyone know or deal with a scrap metal dealer that still does? Please pass along the information. I am mainly looking for one in NoVA.
Thanks

Can't help you for NoVA but if you ever get down to Staunton, let me know and I will send you to the right place.

BTW- watcha got to sort out or pick out of it.

If I understand what you are saying then here is what you will definately find...in terms of good brass.

- 9mm
- .45
- .223
- .243 nickel plated

But you will also find a lot of non-reloadable .308.

Actually I just hate to throw things away thus you or anyone else are welcome to stop by and pick it up. I live in Manassas and have about 3, 5-gallon buckets worth.

Thanks

I too would love to find a local place up here in NOVA.

As for the brass you currenly have... Does anyone have room for it on the trip down to Hite Hollow? Maybe they can take it for you and drop it off or something.

What type of .223 brass do you have?

I need all the .45 brass I can get my hands on. Any idea how much of it you have? I'd even be willing to come up and sort it if necessary. Let me know. Thanks. MJD

Thanks for all the replies but it looks as if someone took me up on the offer to take the brass off my hands. Whenever I get a bucket or so I will post it here for any takers.

I need to find scrap buyer that will trade cartridge brass for scrap lead. The anglers around here who cast their own jigs and sinkers have all got dibs on the local wheelweight market. Pure Pb is getting rarer than hens teeth locally.

If anyone around Tidewater is interested, I'm in Chesapeake and have 3800 brass .45 casings, once fired, some are deprimed. Georgia Arms gives 45 per 1k I can let this go as a lot if wanted for a little less

If you get any more of the .243, we can use them. We're always on the lookout for more brass for it.

All the more groundhog-evaporating material!

Do you have much .45 brass, is it all seperated or mixed?
Link Posted: 8/19/2005 5:57:43 PM EDT
The .45 is mixed, different brands. Some are deprimed, all would need cleaning and prep work done. Like I said if someone is local and wants a good deal, great, but I'm not giving it away, just trying to save a lug to the show at $45 per 1k.
